Thanks to DARC President Brian, VK8BDM, for his report this month
It has been a few months since we last came together as a group and vacated our club room at Knuckeys Lagoon and since then we have slowly progressed the restoration of our HF and VHF Beacons. We have an agreement now to utlise some space within the East Point Military museum grounds for our radios and antennas and Patrick our staton manager will hopefully be able to start the installation soon.
I am forever grateful to our club members who keep running our weekly broadcasts and nets, helping to provide opportunites for us to join in whenever we can. It is getting harder for many groups to find volunteers who have time to give.
I really enjoy reading about what you are up to and the shared emails certainly keep providing me food
for thought and what I could try myself.
Please support Phil with this wonderful newsletter (now blog) as you are able, create something, fix something, or a cautionary tale of radio woes. Especially achieve something new for yourself. Please let us know and share the story and photos do tell a thousand words.
If you also want an event or something to happen please shout out some ideas, the committee can help make things happen.
